I will be giving my first performance in over a year and a half in New York City on June 13, 2013. This show will feature David Patterson on acoustic guitar and two never before heard songs in addition to songs from my debut album, “Night Flight to London.” David and I go back 20 years from our performance days in Atlanta.

The performance will take place in an extraordinary special venue, Mark Lakin Photography Gallery, in the West Village at 750 Greenwich Street (Corner of West 11th Street), New York, NY 10014. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.

It is a real privilege to be invited to perform by Mark Lakin in his gallery space. If you have a moment to look at his website you can see just how wonderful this space is, not to mention his phenomenal photography of Africa and his work with transformative travel company, Epic Road.

Door fee is $20 and that includes two free drink tickets for the evening.

I really hope to see you out at the show and don’t be surprised if I personally call and invite you!

Clips of the closed New York Subway system at around 12:27-12:38 on the show, are from the archives of the storm on my YouTube Channel.

I learned more about the storm and its far reaching effects from this documentary then I knew on my own, as I do not own a TV. I was shocked and saddened by the images and stories of lost loved ones and the tragic circumstances people are still in.

I am learning from this experience to become better prepared for an emergency.

It is truly inspiring to see Tommy’s already high profile sky rocket to the stratosphere, with his chart topping production work on the hit Fox TV Series, GLEE and now to get a chance to show more of what he is capable of in the new Oprah Winfrey TV show.

This is really exciting to view from the stands!

During the winners trip to London for the British Airways Face to Face program, I met journalist Michele Mitchell, whose Film At Eleven company had also won a place in the winners group. When she learned of my fundraising background she approached me about getting involved with the fundraising efforts behind her documentary film, “Haiti: Where Did The Money Go?” which shines a spotlight on how aid works during disasters. I jumped at the chance to use my talents on such an interesting film project and to work with an even more interesting person.

On January 10, 2012, the results of my fundraising efforts will be seen as “Haiti: Where Does The Money Go” makes its debut on PBS and begins a rollout to markets around the United States over several months. It also represents my role as Line Producer on the film. I was presented with a rare opportunity to work on aspects of the film beyond fundraising, and it has been one of the greatest learning experiences of my life.

I’m not sure how much I believe in the vortex that is supposed to have opened up in the universe for all good things to start happening, but I sure want to believe! I kept feeling that something special would happen with my music on 11/11/11. I felt with all the things in the works, something would settle in or some official word would come through. Never in my mind did I think that I would hear about something I applied for almost a year ago, when I was in the middle of the British Airways Face of Opportunity Contest. I’d forgotten all about that I had even applied to be a featured business. And, I never expected I would hear about it at 11:11 p.m.

I take this as a sign from the Universe that something BIG is about to happen with my music. I have been working at this consistently for a long long time and with more focus than I thought possible the last 12 months. I am on the verge of being heard..literally. And, that’s the most important part of this journey…being heard.

And speaking of being heard, I will be performing in New York City at the National Underground (Upstairs) on December 17, 2011 with David Patterson on acoustic guitar. My one hour show starts at 9:00 p.m. and it’s FREE! Hope to see you there.
