At 11:11 PM on 11/11/11 An Amazing Google Alert Came Through!

At exactly 11:11 p.m. on 11/11/11 I received a Google Alert that my music business had been featured on the British Airways website. Link HERE

I’m not sure how much I believe in the vortex that is supposed to have opened up in the universe for all good things to start happening, but I sure want to believe! I kept feeling that something special would happen with my music on 11/11/11. I felt with all the things in the works, something would settle in or some official word would come through. Never in my mind did I think that I would hear about something I applied for almost a year ago, when I was in the middle of the British Airways Face of Opportunity Contest. I’d forgotten all about that I had even applied to be a featured business. And, I never expected I would hear about it at 11:11 p.m.

I take this as a sign from the Universe that something BIG is about to happen with my music. I have been working at this consistently for a long long time and with more focus than I thought possible the last 12 months. I am on the verge of being heard..literally. And, that’s the most important part of this journey…being heard.

And speaking of being heard, I will be performing in New York City at the National Underground (Upstairs) on December 17, 2011 with David Patterson on acoustic guitar. My one hour show starts at 9:00 p.m. and it’s FREE! Hope to see you there.

Steve Jobs Vision Makes My Music Possible

With all the Captains of Industry who have made their mark in the world, I have just realized I was witness to history by living in the time of Steve Jobs and Apple.

As I type my blog on my Apple MacBook Pro, see my iPhone laying on the table nearby, and think about my debut album Night Flight to London, which is selling in iTunes, I realize just how far and wide the impact of one man truly can be.

Steve Jobs provided a platform for music and now, my music, which is unprecedented. It has changed not only the course of the music industry, but the course of individuals who dream of selling their music around the world.

The Google tribute said it best. A simple line under the search bar:

Steve was known for his simplicity. He was known for his vision. He was a bit of an outsider. But he was able to get enough fans to eventually prove his vision correct. We should all see the world through those black round glasses…just like Harry Potter, it must be an amazing view.

So, I dedicate today my song It’s Our Time, for all those dreamers who have made history in the pursuit of their dreams.

My Music Is Living the High Life on British Airways

For September, my music is featred in the Easy Listening Section along artists such as Paul Simon, Michael Ball, James Darren, Alfie Boe, Michael Feinstein, James Darren, Eva Cassidy and Ed Harcourt. Great company to be in!

Also for September, my audio interview is featured in the In Conversations Section. What’s is so fun is I have had several people look for the album and listen to it while on the airplane and are sending me video and photo images so it will be like I was there!

The View From First Class!

Really close friends of mine are traveling via British Airways on the Night Flight to London, headed toward Istanbul. Traveling first class none the less! They emailed me photos of my album on the GVI screen on the airplane, in addition to an image of the High Life magazine. It is truly extraordinary to see this up close and personal! My excitement is palpable.

Knowing my debut album is being played along side Sting, Michael Feinstein, Eva Cassidy, Michael Ball, Ed Harcourt, and Alfie Boe in the Easy Listening section of the inflight audio is so exciting and humbling.

So, as I continue to bounce off the walls this last 24 hours, I am never the less focused on all the other aspects of selling this album. “Night Flight to London” Available NOW on Pre-Sale Through iTunes

As of today, my debut album “Night Flight to London” is available for pre-sale through iTunes globally. For $9.99 US or £7.99 UK, you can purchase the entire album now, which will be delivered to you on October 3, 2011.

The purpose of the pre-sale campaign is to get as many sales recorded in the first week of the release as possible, with the intention of hitting the Billboard music charts in USA and the UK Charts Company. My release is chart eligible and it is going to take a minimum of 5,000 album sales over the next few months, to get the attention of the music industry. Selling 5,000+ units should place my album on the Top 100 Billboard charts and the Top 40 Uk charts.

I realize there have been many starts and stops to this album release, but I have finally gotten it right! My Producer, Tommy Faragher, to have #1 Billboard Single Next Week for GLEE Version of “Teenage Dream”

It’s been an incredibly exciting week for those of us who have worked with Tommy Faragher. His production work on the song “Teenage Dream” which was popularized by Katy Perry and debuted on the Emmy award winning TV show GLEE, has led to a rocket ship that has shot the single up to the top of the Billboard singles chart! In addition, the sales are estimated (by those who follow these things) to be the best sales ever for a song from the GLEE TV show. So, it’s going to be official next week, Tommy Faragher will have the #1 Billboard single. The song features lead vocals by Darren Criss, who is rumored to be joining the cast of GLEE beyond this debut performance last week.

Tommy Faragher has had a long career in music, and his early work with the movie Staying Alive and artists such as Taylor Dayne, the OJay’s, Al Green, were just the beginning of a long career behind the mixing board. A lot of people don’t realize Tommy Faragher is a singer in his own right and had his own career as a recording artist, first with The Faragher Brothers and later as a solo artist (the song Look Out for Number One). There is a great video of Tommy singing on Solid Gold on YouTube. LINK TO YOUTUBE. He has several songs on the Sondtrack album for Staying Alive, which led to his Grammy nomination.

I worked with Tommy over a 7 year period, co-writing the songs on my debut album “Night Flight to London” and then of course, he produced all the tracks. It’s such a thrill to hear his signature style in the “Teenage Dream” single. It’s got his name written all over it. At one point, after listening to the single on my iphone for 4 days, I started to hone in on the harmonies in the background. Once I really heard them, I was hooked one more time to a song I can’t keep the play button off of!

Such a nice guy..Tommy Faragher. Talented and low key. I’ve met a lot of people in the music business over the years and Tommy is one of the “good” ones!

My Producer, Tommy Faragher’s version of Teenage Dream hits #1 spot on itunes Singles Chart tonight!

My producer, Tommy Faragher’s version of the song “Teenage Dream” made popular by Katy Perry, hit itunes #1 spot on the singles chart tonight, after the airing of the TV show GLEE, which featured the song.

The song hit #1 in just under 24 hours on the charts.

Katy Perry was quoted in US Magazine as saying this version of her song “made me cry.” Link to US Magazine Story

My producer, Tommy Faragher’s, latest GLEE production is Perez Hilton’s Top Pick!

My producer, Tommy Faragher, is the quiet force behind the new GLEE song Teenage Dream (popularized by Katy Perry), which will premier this Tuesday night on the latest episode of GLEE. The song has also been selected as the #1 Hot Pick for the ITunes Hit Pick of the Week charts. The song is performed by character Darren Criss during his meet cute with Chris Colfer, in the “Never Been Kissed Episode” which aires November 9, 2010 on FOX.
